It has been reported by Al Jazeera that the Pakistan Army is conducting massive repression on the protesting general public in the Azad Kashmir region of Pakistan.

Under the leadership of the Pakistani armed forces, massive cordon and search operations are being conducted late at night by going from house to house under the cover of a communication blackout in various regions there. An operation to surround an entire neighborhood by armed soldiers and members of law enforcement agencies and search house to house is basically called a cordon and search operation or block raid.

Allegations are being raised against the Rangers, operated by the Pakistani police and military, of snatching the bodies of people killed in firing from their families. Members of various forces in plain clothes are entering different neighborhoods with vehicles and conducting firing. It has been alleged that at least 30 bodies of the deceased have been snatched so far.

The entire Kashmir valley, including Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawalakot, and Kotli, has transformed into a devastated battlefield. There are even signs of incidents such as torture of women and direct firing on them occurring there. Due to the internet being shut down, most of the pictures of which are not reaching the outside world.

On the other hand, across the barbed wire, a similar situation prevails everywhere in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, including Baramulla, Budgam, and Poonch. The difference is, there is no movement there. Simply massive night-time operations, searches, and activities like setting up checkpoints are going on. Huge operations by the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operations Group (SOG) are underway in dense hilly forests like Surankote, Darsangla, and Gujjar Nar.

All in all, on this side and that side of the border, the lives of Kashmiris have become unbearable everywhere under the pressure of the Indian and Pakistani armed forces.
