🚀 Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Click "Create New Account" on the login page. Fill in your username, email, name, date of birth, country, gender, and password. Complete the security check and click Register. You can log in immediately after.
What devices can I use Our Social on?
Our Social works on any device with a web browser — smartphones, basic button phones (Java phones), tablets, and desktop computers. It is designed to load fast even on slow 2G connections.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Our Social is entirely web-based. Simply open your browser and go to the site. No app download or JavaScript is required.

👤 Account & Settings

How do I change my password?
Go to Settings (from the menu) and look for the "Change Password" section. Enter your current password and then your new password twice. Click Save to confirm.
How do I update my profile picture?
Go to your profile page and click "Edit Profile." From there you can upload a new profile photo. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom to find the "Delete Account" option. This action is permanent and will remove all your posts, messages, and data. You will need to confirm with your password.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Currently, password recovery is done through the admin. Please contact the site administrator for assistance if you are locked out of your account.

💬 Posts & Content

How do I create a post?
On the home feed, you will see a text box at the top. Type your message, optionally attach an image, and click "Post." Your post will appear in your friends' feeds.
Can I share images?
Yes. When creating a post, you can attach one image (JPG, PNG, or GIF). The image will be displayed with your post.
How do I delete a post or comment?
Open the post and look for the "Delete" option below it. Only the author can delete their own posts and comments.
Can I share someone else's post?
Yes, click the "Share" button below any post. The shared post will appear on your profile and in your friends' feeds with a reference to the original author.

👥 Friends & Messages

How do I add a friend?
Visit someone's profile page and click "Add Friend." They will receive a friend request notification. Once they accept, you will be connected and can see each other's posts.
How do I send a private message?
Go to a friend's profile and click "Send Message," or go to the Messages section from the menu. Type your message and hit Send.
How do I remove a friend?
Go to the person's profile and click "Unfriend." You can also manage your friend list from the Friends section in the menu.

🚨 Safety & Reporting

How do I report a post or user?
Click the "Report" link found on posts or profile pages. Select a reason and submit. Our admin team will review the report and take action if the content violates our Terms of Use.
What happens after I report someone?
Your report is sent to the admin team for review. Depending on the severity, the user may receive a warning, have their content removed, or be permanently banned.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Your password is stored using strong encryption and is never visible to anyone. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
🛡 If you encounter abusive content or feel unsafe, use the Report feature immediately. Serious violations are handled as a priority.
