US announces reward of up to 5 million dollars for information about Al-Shabaab leader Sheikh Ali Muhammad Ar-Raji

USA | The US Department of State has announced a reward of up to 5 million dollars for information leading to the identification of the location of Ali Muhammad Ar-Raji, the top leader and chief spokesperson of the Somali armed jihadist group Al-Shabaab.

According to US authorities, Ar-Raji was involved in planning Al-Shabaab attacks in Somalia and Kenya.

US citizens have been killed in these attacks.
US authorities have promised to keep the identities of informants secret. In some special cases, arrangements may also be made for their relocation elsewhere.
