2 army members killed, 1 officer injured in accident during field firing exercise in Hathazari | As-sidq news

Two members of the army were killed in an accident during a field firing exercise in Hathazari, Chittagong. In this incident, the condition of one injured is critical. This accident occurred around 11:30 am on Wednesday in the army training area of Hathazari.

The deceased are Soldier Gunner Rifat (No-1008201) and Soldier Operator Siddique (No-1008096). Captain Mirza Mohiuddin (BA-10585) and Soldier Jobayer (Driver) were injured. The injured are being treated at the Chattogram Combined Military Hospital (CMH). It is reported that the injured Captain Mirza Mohiuddin is being taken by helicopter to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, for advanced treatment.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director Lieutenant Colonel Sami-Ud-Doula Chowdhury confirmed the death of the two individuals.

The press release stated that during the field firing exercise, this accident suddenly occurred during shelling from a tank. In this, two members of the army were killed and one officer was seriously injured. The injured officer is being taken by helicopter to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, for advanced treatment.
